Not much has changed since last week. We only lost one more player after we ended on a Round Table cliffhanger. Mark, the lovable golden retriever of a human, was ranked 2nd last week, so it does seem like he was a good kill from the Traitors trio.
Not much will likely change with my rankings either. While Victor ended up getting the most votes, he can potentially be saved thanks to a new power in the game that can prevent the banishment from happening. It's almost better for the Faithful to get rid of Victor because they might actually believe his very correct assertions about Tomica and Joe. If he stays, it will only delay him getting banished again.
Regardless, here are the Week 5 rankings.
13. Victor Vollbrechthausen (Last Week: 14)
Much like the Hulu original series, I love Victor. However, he's not long for this world. As I said, even if the person with the hidden power saves him, he'll just be banished again. Being saved by one other player will not make anyone less suspicious of him.
12. Joe Vanella (Last Week: 13)
However, the longer Victor is in, the less room Joe has to make people forget he's being targeted. But it's lose-lose for the funeral director as once Victor goes, Joe will be looked at as someone they should at least test at the Round Table.
11. Tomica Adams (Last Week: 12)
And the same goes for Tomica. She might have a bit of extra credibility because they don't think she would have killed Niyyah (which she didn't), but surely she can't make it to the end game without lingering doubts in the mind of the other players.
10. Wyatt Gillespie (Last Week: 10)
I have Wyatt slightly lower ranked than last week because he got more heat this week from Abby. That being said, he is pretty vocal in defense of Victor and when he's revealed as a Faithful, that could help Wyatt in the long run. Either way, it feels like things need to settle with Abby and he before I move him up any further.
9. Katie Fites (Last Week: 9)
Once again, Katie is the Traitor going the most under-the-radar. That being said, she still had heat on her earlier and it will be hard to convince the others to not eliminate the world where she is a Traitor, especially as long as Jay remains in the game.
8. Jay Vinnedge (Last Week: 11)
Wait, did Jay recalibrate his threat level? Did he figure out how to stop talking long enough to make it so the others wouldn't vote him out?! And if he can get rid of Katie, who will be revealed as a Traitor, could he make his way to the end of the game and win? Probably not, but kudos to him for making me think it's more likely than it was than the last two weeks!
7. Abby Lee (Last Week: 8)
I think Abby is perceived to be too smart to have been as bad as she will have proven to be once some of the other player's identities are revealed. There are people who look at her as a smart and confident player and she'll be seen as someone who was trying to direct votes onto Faithfuls rather than just having not-so-great reads.
6. Morgan Cook (Last Week: 3)
I moved Morgan all the way up to three last week but have to send her back. She got some heat on her this week because her reads have been wrong so far. Once someone throws your name out as a potential Traitor, I do have to lower you down the rankings. Sorry!
5. Abbey Benjamin (Last Week: 6)
Unfortunately, nothing has really changed for me when it comes to Abbey. I feel like she's in a good position but she has seemed far too quiet for me to give her a spot at the tippy-top of the list.
4. Kriste Lewis (Last Week: 7)
The only person really pointing fingers at Kriste is Tomica, and once she is revealed as a Traitor, that will go a long way for the Mississippi realtor. She seems to have the trust of the other players, so that should bode well for her.
3. Clyde Moser (Last Week: 5)
I had moved Clyde down even since he voted out Michael, but he's made a nice recovery. He's part of the Dolls alliance and while that could be risky because they might think one of them is in the turret, they already made that mistake with Michael. I'd love for Clyde to pull this out.
2. Ben McDonnell (Last Week: 4)
Ben is the other player who doesn't trust Katie. If he can get her banished, that will go a long way to giving him some room to maneuver in the game, so long as he isn't immediately murdered. The best thing for him would be to get Katie out at the beginning of the end game.
1. Shane Beatty (Last Week: 1)
Shane is still my #1 to win. He's vocal at the Round Table and seems to be a leader there, all the while not drawing any suspicion at all. Shane has all the makings of a player who wins with the Faithful and splits the prize money.
