Drag Race is now a global franchise, airing multiple episodes every week.* There are dozens of queens werking it out for not just their country's respective crown, but for our attention. Every queen is captivating — but only one of them is a true gem. Pop Heist's Greatest Drag Race Queen of All Time of the Week singles out one special queen from that week's competitors and crowns her for a one-week reign.
The Week: July 14 to July 20
The Episodes: Drag Race France 4x02 "La Boulangerie Est Ouverte"; Canada's Drag Race All Stars 1x02 "Song of the Summer"; RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11x12 "Disco Smackdown for the Crown"
The Queen: Daisy Superbitch (France Season 4)
Drag truly is a universal language. For example, I don't speak French, but I still live for Drag Race France — and Season 4's queens are definitely speaking to me, especially Daisy Superbitch.
The talent was, admittedly, simple — just some light burlesque chair work, in the grand tradition of Bimini Bon Boulash and Bosco. But it was how Daisy framed it, as a lesson in how to properly sit in a chair, that escalated this bit to absolute camp. The routine was dense with jokes both visual (from Daisy's reveal from a Sunday morning dress to a randy lingerie look ... but still with those glasses and that HR lady hair) and written (the running joke of Mrs. Superbitch's increasing rank, all the way to colonel).
That's not even mentioning the talent within this talent — specifically Daisy's tuck, which she fully puts on display in an upside-down spread eagle.
Okay, I know tucking is de rigueur for queens, but if Trinity can build a whole brand around tucking, I feel like I can point out a tight tuck when I see one. Good job, Col. Superbitch!
For those not watching Drag Race France, let me just put all that into context. Daisy Superbitch has three traits that immediately set her apart from the rest of the cast: she's from Belgium, she's 34 (gasp!), and she previously appeared on Drag Race Belgique as a member of the Pit Crew! Like, werk bitch — excuse me, werk super bitch. You're the greatest Drag Race queen of all time this week.
