Attention all gaymers! The 2025 Gayming Awards have a new, exclusive streaming home: WOW Presents Plus. The global HQ for all things Drag Race will stream the fifth annual Gayming Awards all around the world on Tuesday, Jul. 8.
Presented by Gayming Magazine, the Gayming Awards are the world's only LGBTQ+ video game award show. Last year's awards â where Baldur's Gate 3 took home Game of the Year â were watched by 1.4 million people via the livestream or social clips. Submissions for nine of the now 13 awards are open for submissions, which you can send via gaymingawards.com.
Gayming Magazine and Gayming Awards founder Robin Gray praised the partnership in the release, stating that broadcasting on "the biggest and best LGBTQ+ streaming platform" allows the award show to "take its next big step." Gray continued: "At a time where LGBTQ+ rights and culture are being erased, the Gayming Awards stand proudly and firmly as a key beacon of hope in uplifting, celebrating and uniting our community through the power of video games. A huge thank you to World of Wonder for believing in our mission and giving us this awesome platform."
As part of the announcement, World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey were excited to announce that "Awards Season just got a little bit 'gayer.' WOW Presents Plus, the #1 place in the world to watch Drag Race, is holding space for queer video game excellence as the exclusive streamer of the Gayming Awards." And as a streaming partner for the Queerties, this marks WOWPP's second foray into the award show arena.
The 2025 Gayming Awards will see the addition of two new categories: LGBTQ+ Voice Actor of the Year and Community Impact Award. Additionally, the LGBTQ+ Streamer of the Year category is now the LGBTQ+ Content Creator of the Year. The complete category list is as follows:
