‘Love Island USA’ Rocks Islanders in Volcanic Week 2 Recoupling

America just dropped a bombshell on 'Love Island.'

Summer's here and you know what that means: it's Love Island USA season! That means spending six nights a week glued to a screen, watching a dozen sexy singles look for love in a cartoonishly colorful villa. There will be lots of hook-ups, lots of spicy games, and lots of incredibly impractical bathing suits. Every week, Nicole Weaver of Black Bi Reality will break down what's going down in the villa by ranking the couples from compatible to scary.

The second week of Love Island USA Season 7 has come and gone. Multiple new couples formed with varying success. Ace blindsided one woman with his boundaries and another by not picking her in last week's ceremony. Multiple new love triangles formed thanks to Iris Kendall, Pepe Garcia, and Jalen Brown. June 15's episode revealed America's vote for who each bombshell should couple up with in the cast.

That cast includes Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown who have continued to focus on each other. However, other islanders noticed their isolation and became worried. Huda's need to control the couple's narrative and secrets is rising. Jeremiah pushed back and reminded her that he's still processing that she's a mother. America's votes gave a strong message to them, but will they receive it? I ranked the couples from least to most unstable after watching Episode 12.

1. Nic & Cierra

Nicolas (Nic) Vansteenberghe doesn't seem to regret his decision to dump Belle-A Walker for Cierra Ortega. They haven't had any fights and don't show signs of jealousy. They each talked to new bombshells this week and kissed other people in challenges. They strike the delicate balance of showing interest in each other and not getting too anxious when they spend time with someone else, making them the most stable couple.

2. Chelley & Austin

Chelley spent more time with Ace last week. However, Ace told her in last night's episode that he's exploring things with Iris too. Chelley wasn't happy but showed no signs of interfering. She keeps saying that she likes Austin, but they haven't had any romantic moments. They both seem like passive people and won't be doing much to progress, but they also have no reason to break up. This unfortunately makes them one of the most stable couples in the villa.

3. Olandria & Jalen

Jalen Brown made it clear he was interested in Olandria Carthen. She was coupled up with Taylor Williams, and noticed he wasn't being physically romantic with her. Taylor put in more effort to kiss her and plan dates after that. But Olandria mentioned after talking to Jalen that Taylor hasn't complimented her. There are certainly cracks in her original relationship, but Jalen is going to have to bring deeper conversations next week to stay.

4. Hannah & Pepe

Hannah Fields had strong chemistry with Charlie Georgiou last week. Pepe Garcia turned her head after his entrance in Episode 10. Fans figured their steamy kisses were enough to match them. But Episode 12 revealed Hannah chose Charlie instead of going for her typical type. Charlie tried to explain this to the cast before they voted. That failed to keep him around, and it could've also hurt Hannah's chances with Pepe. He should want to know why she chose Charlie over him and if that means she doesn't see a future with him. That answer could end things quickly. However, there is a chance that Hannah's rush to choose was a mistake and she'll deepen her connection with Pepe.

5. Jeremiah & Iris

The fans voted for Iris to replace Huda and be with Jeremiah. Iris told Ariana Madix that she was "really surprised" by the outcome. "I'm really gonna miss going to bed, waking up next to you," Jeremiah told Huda. This could be a sign that Jeremiah is open to exploring things with Iris and giving her a chance. But based on Huda's past actions, she'll have something to say about that and might push for him to sleep outside.

Huda hasn't shown any interest in changing how she's navigating her relationship with Jeremiah. She doesn't want Jeremiah to talk about their problems with anyone else. She lashes out and women a b---- every time a new bombshell enters the villa. She's currently single and hasn't tried talking to other men. Her focus will most likely be to get Jeremiah back and break up this new couple, making Jeremiah and Iris very unstable.

6. Amaya & Ace

Ace Greene quickly told Amaya Elizabeth he wasn't interested in hugging or kissing outside of challenges right after last week's ceremony. She accused him of being a player. Ace planned a date for Chelley Bissainthe, which didn't help his case. They went their separate ways after Amaya called him out for never mentioning his interest in Chelley. The rest of the week showed him making jokes about his disinterest in Amaya in every challenge.

This couple would've been over if they had the choice. However, they're stuck together for another week. Ace started showing interest in Iris by making her breakfast. Amaya hasn't had any luck and will be in danger of getting dumped if that doesn't change.

This leaves Taylor and Huda single this week and in danger of getting dumped from the villa. They have strong emotional connections with their previous partners, which is a good sign for their chances to stay. New bombshells could also turn their heads and give them another option. Hopefully, America's votes will send them the message that something that they've been doing isn't working and they need to change.

New episodes of Love Island Season 7 premiere Thursday to Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock
